Neelie Kroes

EU Commissioner for Europe’s Digital Agenda
From 1971 to 1989 she worked in Dutch politics, including as minister responsible for postal and telephone sectors. Subsequently, she worked including on various company boards. In 1991 she became chairperson of Nyenrode University. 
In 2004 she became the EU's Competition Commissioner, and, in 2010, Vice President of the Commission responsible for the Digital Agenda.
Ms Kroes will present a personal video message April 19th in the plenary session.

For over 20 years, Gérard has been servicing the card and payment industry, both as a senior consultant and as the manager of the GALITT test tool activities. He has been involved in major payment projects in Europe and abroad. He started his career in the IT department of at Habitat France (retail), then joined the French Groupement Carte Bleue as Director for strategic studies, before a Partner at O.I.C., a consulting company dedicated to the retail and card industry.

Jeroen Mulder

Sales Director Europe at Collis
Jeroen has extensive  EMV and NFC knowledge through managing turn-key EMV and NFC implementation projects for Collis worldwide over the past five years. His practical experience combined with his Master’s Degree in System Engineering and Policy Analysis adds great value to card issuers, card vendors, terminal vendors, scheme issuers, acquiring parties and mobile network operators.

Piet Mallekoote

CEO at Currence
After his study macro-economics at the Amsterdam University, Piet Mallekoote joined the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). He held several senior management positions in economic research, economic policy and payments. Mallekoote joined Currence, owner of the Dutch payment products, including iDEAL, in 2004. 
Piet Mallekoote will speak on How to manage payment schemes April 19th in the Online payments track.

Rita Camporeale

Head of Payment Systems and Services Department and Project Manager of ABI's SEPA project.
Rita worked at the European Central Bank since its creation in 1998 until 2002, her main responsibilities being the coordination of the Oversight Unit within the Payment System Policy Division (including large-value and retail systems, payment instruments, multi-currency systems, relations with banking supervisory authorities), the coordination of the CLS project at the ECB, and representation in these areas in EU and G-10 central bank fora and ECB contact groups with the market.

Roberto Liscia

Later on he developed his professional career in the consulting services becoming Partner for Strategy in PWC and then Vice President of Solving International. David Birch

Before helping to found Consult Hyperion in 1986, he spent several years working as a consultant in Europe, the Far East and North America.

Niklaus Santschi

CEO of SIX Payment Services (SIX Pay)
Niklaus held various positions in the Cards business mainly within the SIX Group’s predecessor organizations and has more recently contributed to the significant strategic and international orientation of the SIX card business. He studied economic history and European law at the University of Zurich and subsequently specialized in the international Executive Program at INSEAD in Paris, as well as business strategy and performance at IMD Lausanne. Niklaus will speak April 19th in the Cards and retail track.

Antonella Vanara

Business Development Manager – Financial Institutions Division, SIA
Antonella Vanara joined SIA in 1990, where she worked on interbank procedures automation. Afterwards she contributed to the development and marketing of electronic and mobile payments projects and she managed the launch of SEPA initiatives. Currently she deals with strategic innovation and business development in e-payments. Antonella will host the SIA MyBank expert session April 18th.


Dr Michael Salmony

Executive Advisor to the Board of Directors at Equens
Michael represents the German and international banking communities at major European organisations especially on payment innovations. He has spoken and published on how new technologies are transforming financial services. Previously he was Germany's Director of Market Development Media and Communications technologies at IBM.
Michael will join Gerard de Moura in the expert session on Infrastructure, convergence and innovation April 18th.

Charles Bryant

Senior Adviser to the Euro Banking Association, European Affairs Adviser to OB10- a major global service provider and Vice-Chair of the European E-Invoicing Service Providers Association
Charles is a consultant active in the payments, electronic invoicing and supply chain space. He is also a UK representative in the EU Multi-Stakeholder Forum on e-Invoicing. He was Sec-Gen at the European Payments Council, a SWIFT director and a career banker. 
Charles Bryant will moderate the panel April 19th on Supply Chain Finance: the coming revolution? .

John Broxis

John has been working for EBA CLEARING since 2002 when the STEP2 platform was built. As Director at EBA CLEARING, Johns works with the commercial banks to organise infrastructure to meet their processing requirements and is currently working on a study for e-services.

Donald Norman

Co-Founder of the Bitcoin Consultancy
The group works on software development for core bitcoin code. Donald believes that, just like clean water, food, basic shelter and education, people should have free access to the transfer of money and the ability to hold their money free from the controls of governments or middlemen. Donald has appeared as an advocate of bitcoin in Reuters, Newsweek and others.

Antonio is currently involved in R&D e-payments EU projects as CTO role. Michael Burtscher

He is a cofounder of authentication service provider and boardmember of the international OpenID Foundation, working on a global OpenID standard together with leading companies like FaceBook, Google, Paypal, Microsoft and others.

André Casterman

Head of Banking and Trade solutions, SWIFT André heads up SWIFT’s product and business developments in Correspondent Banking, Trade and Supply Chain Finance.
